Your comfort is important to me and I’ll explain what to expect before we begin.

Absolutely — if natural is what you want!

Permanent makeup doesn’t have to mean dark, heavy brows or brightly coloured lips. Shape, colour and intensity are all tailored to the individual.

Some clients want an extremely subtle enhancement while others enjoy a more defined, made-up appearance.

No.

Your existing brow hair is valuable and, wherever possible, forms part of the finished result.

Occasionally, a small amount of hair outside the agreed shape may be tidied, just as you would normally groom your brows.

Yes — and nothing is tattooed until you’re happy with it.

Your brows are carefully designed before treatment begins. We’ll look at the shape together and make any adjustments necessary.

Colour is chosen individually for every client.

For brows, I consider your natural brow hair, skin colouring and the overall result we’re creating.

For lip blush, we’ll look at your natural lip colour, your colouring and the shades you like to wear.

Yes. Permanent makeup normally appears stronger immediately after treatment than the eventual healed result.

As the area heals, the colour will soften and settle. This is completely normal.

Please allow approximately 1½–2 hours for your permanent makeup appointment.

This gives us plenty of time to discuss your treatment, design your brows or lips, select your colour and make sure you’re happy with everything before we begin.

Yes. A patch test is required before your permanent makeup treatment.

This can be carried out at your consultation or can be posted to you.

No. Permanent makeup treatments cannot be carried out while you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Everyone’s skin retains pigment differently, so your included touch-up allows me to assess your healed result and perfect areas where necessary.

Eyebrow touch-ups are approximately 6 weeks after your first treatment.

Lip blush touch-ups are approximately 8 weeks after your first treatment.

Both are included in the original treatment price.

Permanent makeup is long-lasting, but it gradually fades and softens over time.

Most of my brow clients choose a colour refresh approximately annually, while lip blush will often go a couple of years between refreshes.

These are guidelines rather than deadlines.

My rule is simple: there has to be colour there to refresh.

If you still have a visible shape and pigment that simply needs refreshing, you can have a colour refresh.

If you allow your permanent makeup to fade until there is little or nothing remaining, we may need to start again or carry out more than one treatment to rebuild the result.

Possibly, but I need to see it first.

If your existing permanent makeup was carried out by another artist, you must attend an in-person consultation before booking a treatment with me.

Sometimes I can successfully work over previous permanent makeup. In other cases, it may need to fade further or removal may be advisable first.

Consultations are complimentary.

Yes, but please tell me if you have ever experienced cold sores, even if you haven’t had one for a long time.

Lip treatments can trigger an outbreak in people who carry the cold sore virus.

If you have a history of cold sores, please speak to your GP or pharmacist before your appointment for appropriate advice regarding antiviral medication.

I cannot prescribe or recommend a particular medication or dosage.

If you have an active cold sore, your appointment will need to be postponed until it has completely healed.

A £50 booking fee secures your appointment and forms part of your treatment price.

It is refundable when you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice.

With less than 48 hours’ notice, the booking fee is forfeited and another £50 booking fee will be required to rebook.
